SIDE offers a comprehensive range of Art courses from year
8-12. Students
are provided with print and online course materials
and supported
by their teachers through email, phone and video conferencing, and e-learning
tools (Centra and Janison) to discuss and develop their
personal Art journey.
In Year 12, students of Art tend to specialise their skills in the completion of their major projects. While studio practise is the
focus, visual inquiry and Art appreciation and criticism support the development of studio pieces. The display of major works
in an exhibition is a requirement of the year 12 courses.
